Even with the economic meltdown and recession killing the industry, adult entertainment bigshots still had a reason to celebrate after capping of this year’s Urban X Awards that was held last Sunday at Boulevard 3 in Hollywood. Hosted by adult stars Roxy Reynolds and Mr. Marcus, everyone involved in the adult entertainment business came out to party and enjoy the festivities.

The show also included performances by Medusa, Brian Pumper and Joe Moses. Industry personality James Bartholet emceed as the stars filtered into the main hall to take their seats for the event.

Awards given in the ceremony include the Hall of Fame Male honor given to Wesley Pipes, T.T. Boy, Mark Anthony and Sledge Hammer. But the big winner of the night is Pinky who won the Best Talent Website, Female Performer of the Year and Porn Star of the Year awards, receiving massive cheers each time she appeared on stage.

West Coast Productions however is the biggest winner of all after getting seven trophies in different categories, including Best Studio for the second year in a row. Alexander DeVoe Productions matched that tally, with DeVoe himself being named Director of the Year.

Dana DeArmond, who was announced two weeks ago as a third co-host of the show, curiously never appeared, despite being in attendance.

Other adult heavyweights in attendance were Evan Stone, Jenna Haze, Jules Jordan, Manuel Ferrara, Lexington Steele, Prince Yahshua, Kristina Rose, Luscious Lopez, Regan Reese, Juan Cuba, Marco Banderas, Lisa DeMarco, Sean Michaels, Tee Reel, Marie Luv, Emma Heart, Laurie Vargas, Misty Stone, Mr. Pete, Alexis Texas, Jax, Roy Karch, Jeff Mullen, Eric John, Lisa Ann, Alyssa Reece, Bobbi Starr, Jessica Bangkok, Capri Styles, Ethan Hunt, Isis Taylor, Layla Rivera, Mya Nichole, Rebeca Linares, Chris Streams, Flower Tucci, Olivia O’Lovely, Sophie Dee and Cleopatra of the Nile.

However, Christian Mann who was scheduled to accept the Lifetime Achievement award for his founding of pioneering ethnic studio Video Team and its sister label Afro-Centric Productions, was a no-show that evening.
